Vipers SC have smartly qualified for the quarterfinals of the ongoing Uganda Cup.
Vipers secured a well-deserved 4-0 victory against Iganga United in the Uganda Cup encounter at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Wednesday evening.
Hillary Mukundane and Gusto Mulongo scored a brace each as Vipers matched into the last eight teams of the ongoing prestigious championship.
Mukundane nodded the hosts ahead in the eighth minute after smartly connecting with Yunus Sentamu’s corner kick.
The Venoms found themselves infront of goal several times but where not lethal enough thus going into the halftime break with a slim 1-0 lead.
With seven minutes on the clock, Gusto Mulongo doubled Vipers’ lead after being set up by agile midfielder Abdul Karim Watambala.
Mulongo extended Vipers’ lead two minutes later as he sent the crowd into party mood.
In added time, Mukundane put the icing on the cake as he smartly connected with Usama Arafat’s delivery from the left flank.
